Conference

This conference aims at focusing on PhD research in the field of translation, as well as providing a forum for exchanging ideas and improving together. This encounter is part of the training activities of the PhD programs in Literary Studies and Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, and it is organized by PhD students of said programs. This conference has the support of the Department of Linguistics, and Arabic, Basque and East Asian Studies and the Department of Romance, French, Italian and Translation Studies. This conference is geared towards MA students, PhD students and people who have recently defended their thesis (within the last three years).


In addition to promoting current research in the field of translation, we want to offer a safe space for getting to know each other and learn from each other.



The conference welcomes contributions both in Spanish and English.

Registration and Call for Papers

We welcome presentation proposals related to one or more research lines cited on this website, from MA students, PhD students or those who have defended their PhD thesis during the last three (3) years.

  • If you wish to propose a presentation, you will need to fill out this form before October 31st 2023. You will also need to fill out the registration form.
  • If you wish to attend as a listener, you will need to fill out this form.

In order to receive an attendance certificate, you will need to be registered as a listener and fill out the signature sheet at the conference. Speakers will also receive a presentation certificate.

Information

Presentations:

  • Presentations will last up to 20 minutes and may be accompanied by a slideshow.
  • Speakers can present their work either in Spanish or English.

Fees:

  • Registration and attendance to the conference will be completely free.
